Salem Property Management
Let Us Manage Your Salem Rental Property
Premier Realtors of Columbus Property Management has managed rental homes across the Chattahoochee Valley since 2007 — about 300 of them, on both sides of the Georgia–Alabama line. We are veteran-owned, and somebody here answers the phone when a water heater fails at 9pm.
Full service means we price the home against what has actually leased nearby, market it, screen the applicants, write the lease under the law of the state the house is actually in, collect the rent, handle maintenance, and send you a statement every month. Our management fee is 10% of the rent we collect.

What Our Clients Are Saying
Salem Property Management
Salem is 36874, Lee County, Alabama — out where the pines close in and the traffic disappears. It sits on the commuter fringe between Columbus and the Auburn–Opelika side, which is a genuinely useful place to be if you are the kind of household where two people work in two different directions.
Quiet, green, and cheaper for the same square footage than anything the same distance from Columbus on the Georgia side.
Why would someone rent in Salem?
Space and value, plus a location that keeps two job markets in reach. Lee County schools, a rural setting, and rent that generally goes further here than it does closer to Columbus or over toward Auburn.
It suits people who have done the maths. They know exactly what the drive costs them and have decided the house and the quiet are worth it. That makes them steady tenants who are not going to be startled by their own commute three months in.
What should an owner expect?
A smaller pool of applicants than Phenix City, and longer tenancies once someone is in. Marketing has to reach both directions — people searching from the Columbus side and people searching from Auburn and Opelika — because your tenant could come from either.
Price it on Lee County comparables. Salem does not track Phenix City and it does not track Columbus, and using either as a benchmark will put you wrong in one direction or the other.
Georgia or Alabama law?
Alabama. Salem is Lee County, Alabama, so Alabama landlord-tenant law governs and an eviction is filed in Lee County. A Columbus property runs under Georgia law instead, with a different courthouse and different rules.
More on the difference: Georgia vs. Alabama for rental owners.
This is general information, not legal advice — laws change.
What do you charge?
Ten percent of the rent we collect each month, plus a one-time leasing fee agreed per property when we place a tenant. Nothing in a vacant month. The full breakdown is here.
