Ellerslie Property Management
Ellerslie is 31807 — Harris County, Georgia, and one of the closest Harris County addresses to Columbus. That is the whole appeal. You get the Harris County school district without the drive that Hamilton or Pine Mountain asks for.
It is the address people land on when they want out of the Muscogee district but still work in Columbus every day.
Why do people rent in Ellerslie instead of north Columbus?
The school district, almost entirely. Harris County is a separate system from Muscogee, and families who want it will pay more and drive further to get it. Ellerslie asks for the least additional drive of any Harris County option.
That means your competition is not really other Ellerslie rentals — there are hardly any. It is north Columbus at a lower rent, and Cataula or Fortson at a similar one. The families who look here have usually already decided the district is worth the difference, which makes them easier to lease to and much easier to keep.
How long does an Ellerslie house take to rent?
Longer than Columbus and shorter than deeper Harris County. Inventory is thin, so when a good house comes up the right family finds it — but there are fewer people looking on any given week than there would be in 31909.
Price it against Harris County, not against Columbus. Owners who benchmark an Ellerslie house on a north Columbus comp usually underprice it, then wonder why it leased in four days.
Is this Georgia law?
Yes. Ellerslie is Harris County, Georgia, so Georgia landlord-tenant law applies and an eviction is filed in Hamilton, the county seat — not in Columbus. Different courthouse from a Muscogee County property, same state law.
